The Maritime Aquarium, formerly known as Maritime Center, is located in Norwalk, Conn. Established in 1988, it features various species of fish, mainly from Long Island Sound. Its exhibits include harbor seals, otters, jellyfish, cultural exhibits, touch tanks, Loggerhead turtles, and the large shark tank, which is a popular attraction.
