Burn does punish slow decks and experimental brews quite a bit these days due to its huge meta game share and the generally limited number of combo decks in the format atm.The first is mana. You need over 1/3 of your deck to be lands to ensure you almost always get enough mana to optimize your deck. In my experience, I include between 22-23 lands, but I know other people go higher.
